Marriage is a job

Chris and Iwere eating lunch just the 2 of us. Somehow we were talking about all of my siblings. He was saying how none of them were married. First he suggest that Aunt Andrea and Uncle Ben could get married, but I explained how you can't marry your brother or sister. Then he said that Aunt Elizabeth used to be married to Spencer. He talked about how he remembered going to their wedding. Then he told me, "But she lost that job."

Motorcycles

Driving home today, we noticed a guy riding a motorcycle. Chris mentioned that he didn't have a helmet but that he did have a backpack. So we discussed how dangerous it is to not wear a helmet and that the backpack he was wearing would not save his head from any injuries. Then it was quiet for a bit as we watched him go. Then, Payton pipes up and says, "But if he's in an accident, his shoulders will be OK." Thank goodness for the backpack! :-)

I'm so lucky

Last night, since Ron's not here, I let Chris crawl into bed with me in the middle of the night. He turns to me and says, "You're so lucky." I asked him why is that and he tells me, "Because I'm your best friend. And you aren't a mean mom anymore." Nice....
