Blowing snow

The wind has been blowing the snow around like crazy today.  This has given birth to 2 new words in our house.  Christopher calls the blowing snow "snow tornadoes" and Payton calls the blowing snow "snow ghosts."

What are they doing in that movie?

Cold days

Today and tomorrow the kids don't have school because the temperatures are around -20 with wind chills in the -40s.  Brrrrrr.   Christopher says it's not a snow day though since we didn't get any new snow and they can't go out and play in the snow since it's so cold.  I'm still working as much as I can.  Perk (???) of working from home.  I'm sitting in my office and I hear this Payton say this to Christopher, "We should make a list of the stuff we want to do today.  What *do* you want to do today?  Besides party."  I'm getting nervous for her teenage years.
