This just happened two weeks ago when Christopher casually mentioned that he wanted to go to the store with me to buy food for his "Foods of Mesopotamia" project due the next day. This, of course, involved us cutting up stuff and figuring out what to service it all in. No worries, it's not like I had anything else to do (like pack for a weekend trip the next day).
