Christopher and I signed up for the Tour de Carmel bike ride this year. We really enjoyed the one we did in MN so this would be fun. However, it did not go as planned. The ride was a bust. I got a flat tire about 2 miles in. Of course, I did not have a spare. Christopher was so far ahead of me he had no clue what happened. Ron saved the day and picked me up. About that time, Christopher finally realized I was missing, had borrowed someone's phone, and was calling to find out where I was. Good thing I answered it because I didn't recognize the number but thought it might be him. He would have finished without me but was freaked out after seeing a woman fall and get knocked unconscious. Police, a firetruck, and an ambulance had arrived to take her to the hospital. Ron picked him up on the side of the road he was handing out with one of the police officers. The office did rat him out though and told me that Christopher thought I was just last because I'm such a slow rider. Ha! So it wasn't meant to be for this year. Maybe next year will be our year.
Happy 18th Birthday, Savannah!
