Chris came home today and announced, "Mom, I have homework! Yea!" He has been wanting homework since the very first day of school. So after some high-fives and a snack, we got down to the business of doing the homework. It was 2 sheets with tasks on both sides. He was able to most of it very easily. Then, we got to the hard part. He had to practice writing about 30 "3s." First, he was making the weird squiggle things. So, I erased some of them and had him try again after I showed him how to write them better. He tried again with out making much improvement. So, I erased some again and showed him again. At this point, he looked up at me and said, "Mom, homework isn't so great." Apparently, I'm too much of a slave-driver. :-( But, at this point, something clicked and guess who can make 3s now?!? Amazing, Chris asked me to erase all of them so he try them all over again. And now homework is fun again!
Happy 18th Birthday, Savannah!
